Barely adequate
The book is just fair. The information given is not beyond what is offered in the camera’s manual. I was especially interested in her choices for customizing the camera.

The main impression is that these are actually two books under one cover: technical (chapters 1-5, 7-8, and appendix A), and conceptual (chapters 6, 9, and appendix B)…

This book was a disappointment because the explanations are superficial and they don’t seriously relate the controls and features to what they mean to picture taking.

Easy to read, to understand a complex, FUN camera.
The book is easy to read and broadened my understanding of the features and capabilities of the Canon 40D.
